Betty is Back!

Wow, it's been almost 4 months since I have had time to catch up. Mom life is busy for sure! I barely get time to get a shower or brush my teeth. It does get easier month by month. We have been doing a lot of life changing/stressful things at once. I went back to work full time, Indie went to daycare, Jes quit his job, we moved to a new house. No wonder I haven't had time to blog.

...So my next few post will be just catching myself up on the past few months with Indie, the sweetest and most beautiful baby girl I've ever met.

This is one day after we brought Indie home. This is the first time we got dressed for pictures. She was not too happy about wearing clothes or the headband. Actually, she still doesn't like wearing headbands. In this pic, she was about to burst into tears because I put clothes on her.

My heart officially melted this night. I remember I was on the couch, pumping breast milk, just staring at this lovely site of daddy and newborn daughter. 

 Indie looks just like her daddy, but she did get something from me: sleeping with her mouth open. haha

I live for these moments. I know one day she will be too busy playing to cuddle up with momma. I wish I could capture this moment and relive it forever. There is no feeling like it. 

Indie was a sleepy head as a newborn. She looks so tiny compared to that binki! 

Here, Indie is wearing one of her first dresses, gifted from my bestie. She looks adorable in it!

My friend, Erin, is a skilled photographer and came to take some newborn photos of Indie.  

Jesse bought me a "push present", which was a necklace with Indie's birthstone and her name. He is so thoughtful. He showed me a picture of it when I was pushing in the hospital. I cried of course.

This pic pretty much sums up our entire first two weeks. We ate when Indie ate, slept when Indie slept... 

...and cried when Indie cried. 

Then, this happened. 

I love it.

And I wouldn't trade it for the world.

The sky that day was really cool. It poured down rain shortly after this. 

Then, it happened. My baby turned one month old. 

Indie likes looking out the window. 

and sleeping like a vampire. 

This is her "sneaky suspicious"face. She looks juuuuuust like her daddy in this pic. Daddy calls it her " I call bullshit" face. hahah 

This night, I had just given her a bath. She did not like bath time when we had to use the newborn sling. She still has the left-over bath time scowl on her face. 

But eventually, bath time was a submerged bath, and she now LOVES to take a bath. We even have a bath time song that my mom use to sing to Holly. "Bath time for little girls, bath time for little girls, splash time for little girls!"
