Aug 1st: I made this little keepsake. I want the family to remember her teeny -tiny toes.
Speaking of family, we went to visit them this weekend.
Here is Indie riding in the car like a champ.
She fell asleep about 15 minutes in. She kept sucking her binky like it was there, but it had fallen out long ago. It was so cute.
Momma was feeling fly that day. I think this is one of the first days I actually got "dressed" full hair and makeup since having her.
We went to visit Papa Scott for his birthday.
She was such a happy girl that day. Jes was cracking her up. I have the cutest video of her laughing I'll post in my video catch-up post.
My cousin, Sean. keeps his dog, Bella, at my dad's house. She had a puppy!
After visiting with my dad, we drove over to visit Jesse's family. Jes and I dropped off Indie and went for a drive on the gator. We had been locked in the apartment for so long, we were ready to go see the country side...even if it was hot as hell.
Good Ole East Texas
Back on the farm
We wanted to let Indie see what it was like to go swimming before summer was over. Plus, we wanted to see her model this adorable swim gear.
Indie and J-Paw
Jesse's "here-take-her" face. I usually get this when she poops or pukes on him. haha
Indie and Papa Scott
I kept hearing from everyone, "She looks just like her daddy." She does...no argument from me there. I had to dig through my baby pics though to prove she looks like me a TINY bit. lol
Aug 3: Indie is always so happy in the morning time. She is morning person. I'm not sure where she gets that? Maybe Jes? I've caught him singing in the shower before. Momma is a morning person if coffee is involved. :)
Aug 5: While I was on maternity leave, I enjoyed so much just lying in the bed with Indie late in the morning. She was always so chipper and a little ray of sunshine.
I thought she kind of looked like the gerber baby in this pic.
Aug 7th: More lying in the bed.
Co-sleeping perks.
My favorite two faces to wake up next to.
Aug 9th: There was a time when Indie wouldn't sleep any other way than being rocked. I spent many hours in that glider, just holding her, rocking her, watching her sweet sleeping face.
Aug 10th:
She was giving us a little sassy face this day.
Aug 11th: I thought I would introduce Indie to my bear. I have had this bear since the day I was born. It was a gift from my grandparents on my mothers side. I carried this bear everywhere when I was younger. I carried it even to the age when I started to realize I was too old to carry a bear ( around 12 years old). I never had a baby doll that I cared about...just this bear. When people would give me dolls, I would strip the clothes off the doll and put them on my bear. This bear even had pierced ears and a diaper at one point. haha
Indie wasn't too impressed with this bear. lol
I try to fit in music time as often as I can...either singing or playing piano. Indie likes to sit in my lap and watch me play. The older she gets, the more she tried to mash the keys herself. My dad thinks she may start playing earlier than I did.
Aug 12th: She just woke up. He has her daddy's sleepy face on.
This was the day she realized she could fake cry. I took a video that I will post later. She would cry and cry when I would move over to another room. I was just trying to make myself a grilled cheese. As soon as I walked over to her bassinet, she would make this face. lol She was giving me the crocodile tears.
Indie loves holding hands when falling asleep.
Aug 12th: I just wanted to compare our baby pics. Jes is on the left, Indie in the middle, and me on the right. I think she is a nice blend of both of us.
Indie has the cutest little facial expressions. Here is looks like she is saying, "Really? Another picture?"
Aug 13th:
She struggled taking a nap this day, so when we finally got her to sleep, it does look like she had a rough day. lol
Aug 14th:
I had to go to a meeting at work this day. Indie had not started daycare yet, so she got to go with me and meet everyone.
She looks so cute in her little sailor dress.
I can't believe that she got mistaken for a boy that day. Someone asked me "boy or girl?" I'm thinking in my head, SHE IS WEARING A DRESS AND HEADBAND. GAWD. Jes said he got asked that too. They also asked her name. When he said "Indie" they replied "Awe, Andy, that is so cute."
I was not happy about that. lol People get on my nerves sometimes.
Aug 16th: Sittin pretty in bed
Laid back chillin' watching what we discovered is her fav show POKEMON! She loves Pikachu mainly. She would smile everytime she came on screen.
Then daddy read an article about how the Pokemon tv show is cultivating ADHD in children due to its quick screen changes, so we chilled out on that show for a while. lol I'm pretty accepting of the fact that she will have ADHD though. Her dad has it, and it's hard not to have it in this technologically advanced society we live in.
I had to put Indie's Ninja Turtle onesie on her to see what it looked like.
Of course it looked ADORABLE
Aug 17th: All smiles and cuddles
Indie was fast asleep. Her puckered lips reminded me of Sebastian on The Little Mermaid. In the "Kiss the Girl" scene, he says "You gotta pucker your lips, like dis."
T-Maw and Indie had been working on a art project for mommy and daddy. She made us butterfly footprint pots :) SO CUTE!
Aug 20th: Indie has started to notice facial hair. When daddy doesn't shave, she like to feel the prickly whiskers.
It was a beautiful day outside, and momma was feeling fat.
...So I strapped her on and we went for a walk.
Aug 21st: More cuddle time with Wubby.
Oh, ya know, just looking trendy.
Aug 22nd: Visiting Papa Scott for his birthday
We took him out to eat at the noodle grill. It is authentic Vietnamese food, and it is soooooooo yummy.
Indie and Papa Scott
Holding hands on the ride home.
Aug 23rd: Indie loves sucking on her binky. She also has started to suck her thumb. One day I caught her trying to suck her thumb and binky at the same time! lol I know its a bad habit, but it is so darn cute!
Aug 24th: Doing what we do best: CUDDLING and loving on each other...
...Then, Indie woke up ready to play.
We tried to sit her up in this walker. She did for a little while, but then her head got tired and fell. She bumped her mouth on the steering wheel and cried. I felt terrible. I guess I should get used to her getting bumps and scrapes.
Aug 27th: Family bathroom selfie! Indie loves looking at herself in the mirror. I think it is because she loves looking at other small children like her. She watched all the kiddies and tots at daycare and sometimes will even smile at them. When Lorelai came over, Indie put her hand on Lorelai's shoulder as to say "Good to see you friend." haha
Looking like daddy's twin in this pic.
Aug 28th: This is the morning Indie got her first cold from daycare. STUPID DAYCARE.
You can tell she doesn't feel too well. I couldn't get her to smile that day.
Aug 29th: A couple days late ( as usual on monthly pics), but here is Indie at 4 months old!
She is a little too photo genetic.
Daddy was on the side lines making her smile. That is why she kept looking to the side.
Aug 31st: My little cuddle bunny. It's no wonder I've gained so much weight.I just sit in bed or the couch chillin' with my sleeping baby.
But I don't care much about the weight gain. I know Indie is only going to be baby once. I can lose weight anytime.
There may be a day ( hopefully not) that Indie will be too big or too "cool" to sit in momma's lap, so I'm soaking up all the cuddle time I can get with her now.
