Betty and the Easter Bunny

Wow-wee, where did the time go? My baby is almost a year old! (Cries inside)
Even though it makes me sad my baby is growing up, I'm happy she is healthy and able to do it.
Indie is trying "big girl" food now. In this pic, she was trying french toast. She also really like the whole wheat cereal puffs, the Gerber Graduates Lil Crunchies (particularly ranch), and Arrowroot and Banana Cookies. We also cracked and let Indie taste ice cream. She LOVES it.

She is not a fan of headbands anymore. It's hard to get her to wear them. She either takes them right off or cries.

Indie got invited to her first birthday party! She had fun eating animal crackers, watching the bigger kids, and playing with balloons.

She is definitely going through seperation anxiety lately. Here, she was so willing to not have mama put her down for a nap, that she was tightly gripping my hair...even in her sleep.  I didn't want to put her down anyway, but I thought that was cute.

Indie loves playing outside! We like taking a blanket and popping a squat in the yard.

Indie also loves looking at books, so she had two of her favorite things at the same time.

I started sewing lessons. Sewing is hard...real hard. I wanted to quit so many times, and probably would have if I didn't have someone helping and teaching me along the way.

I made this bunny rabbit dress for Indie, just in time to look festive for Easter.

She looks adorable!

Indie came to pick me up from work, and she was so happy to see me she grabbed my arm and gave it a hug.

Then my heart melted.

and it melted again when her daddy sent me this selfie the next day.

I had some mommy time and got my hair colored. It was a long time overdue. I was just afraid it would cost an arm and a leg because I hadn't dyed my hair in so long. It didn't! It was affordable, and I was very happy with the outcome! My hair actually feel pretty for once!

My mom, sis, aunt, mamaw, and step-dad came for a visit the next day.
Indie was giving and receiving tons of baby shugas!

It was mom's birthday, so I made lasagna, salad, and got a cake. I also made mom a photobook of Indie's year so far.

It was a beautiful day, so we went to play outside.

My sister grabbed my camera and got some excellent snaps. She has natural talent for photography!

On St. Patty's day

Indie is such a little busy body. She loves to explore and doesn't like to sleep. Here you can see she is so sleepy and hungry, but doesn't even want to lie down.

Sitting in the floor watching Wiggles, her favorite music program.

I could stay like this forever.

Indie sporting her Ariel shirt.

Fresh out the tub

She found the light switch!

Her little buddy. She likes to hold him during naked time.

cuz he is soooooft :)

Sleepy baby

More selfies with dada

Naked baby before a bath!

This is when she usually pees on the rug...

...everytime. lol

Indie loves playing with her toys. Here she is hitting a ball with a ball. haha she is so silly!

Cheesin hard!

Indie also really loves playing with puppies.

She wants to pet them, but she is a little too rough at times. Then, the puppies lose interest and run away.

I finally hooked up the camera I got for Christmas to my computer. Here are some older pics I never posted.

This picture is cute, but one of the reasons I didn't do a 10, 11, 02 12 month sticker. She is such a mess. It's hard to keep her still for a photo now!

Papa Scott and Uncle Brad came for a visit!

I love this photo of the 3 of them!

The next family event was Easter! Everyone met at dad's. We didn't have a traditional ham and turkey dinner, but we did a Mexican Fiesta dinner with tons of enchiladas, rice, and beans.
Even though we are adults, we still love coloring easter eggs. haha

We took TONS of pics for Easter. Mainly because a) Indie looked adorable in her dress and b) it's a rare occasion that everyone is together all at once. Usually, we have to make separate trips to see everyone.
Indie liked putting the eggs in her mouth. It was hard to get a family photo for that reason. lol In this pic, she had just peeled the shell off with her teeth. I had to hurry and fish hook it out of there.

Mom put some confetti eggs in our Easter basket which we decided to throw at each other. haha

Baby wearing her first pearls

Momma feelin' fresh.

Indie's Easter jumper.

Indie likes smashing the eggs together to hear them crack.

Indie was more interested in picking up gumballs that she was hunting eggs.

She got lots of toys and candy from Gram and Papa Scott. Momma kept the candy for herself. haha Indie got this froggy bracelet that lights up. It looks like she is trying to tell what time it is. haha
Overall, it was a very Happy Easter with a very happy family.

  1. I LOVED all the pictures!! Indie is growing up so fast. :( Wish I was there to play!
I also really love your hair. I think it's perfect for the Spring and Summer time. I'm trying to get mine done sometime next month. I just hope I can find a place that does it good AND is affordable! I'm glad you were able to find both! :D
